If you are choosing a hospital or are planning to deliver at Memorial and are not familiar with our facility, we invite you to take a tour. Tours are offered twice monthly. Check the class calendar for dates and times. Tours are free, and no registration is required. Free

Complete Childbirth Prep—Series
A series of five classes helps prepare families for the normal course of labor and birth, common medical interventions, and relaxation techniques. The classes will instill confidence in you and your labor support person as you both learn about your baby's delivery. Please register by your fourth month. The series will be completed approximately a month before your due date. Separate Breastfeeding and Baby Care classes are included in the fee. $75/couple

Complete Childbirth Prep—Lunch & Learn
Lunch & Learn is a one day intensive version of the Complete Childbirth Prep—Series. Class meets from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday. Lunch is provided. Offered twice each month. Separate Breastfeeding and Baby Care classes are included in the fee. $75/couple

Breastfeeding
The Certified Lactation Educators who teach this class emphasize the benefits of breastfeeding and the prevention of problems. Topics include position, latch, overcoming common obstacles, and returning to work. Offered once monthly, alternates between “For Moms Only” and “Dads Too”. Included in Complete Childbirth Prep or $15 separately

After Baby Comes
If you have ever wished for an instruction booklet for your newborn, this class will help! A perfect class for mom, dad, and the grandparents that focuses on the basics of holding, soothing, and caring for baby in the first weeks of life. Included in the Complete Childbirth Prep or $15/couple

Childbirth Refresher
For the experienced family, the Childbirth Refresher offers updates in obstetrical practices, a chance to talk about past birth experiences, and a reminder of relaxation techniques. A tour is included. $15/couple

Cesarean Birth/Vaginal Birth After Cesarean (VBAC)
This class provides information and support to parents who are anticipating a cesarean birth plus information to help achieve a vaginal delivery, if desired. A tour of the labor and delivery suites, operating and recovery area, and Mother/Baby Care Center is included. $15/couple

Sibling Preparation
Children ages 3 to 7 learn about newborn babies, participate in activities related to baby care, and visit the nursery and maternity room. This class can help your child feel included in this very special time. $10/child

Infant and Child CPR
This course follows the American Heart Association CPR guidelines for management of cardiac and respiratory emergencies in infants and children. Safety considerations will alert families to the prevention of childhood injury. This course is offered through Healthworks! Kids Museum. Please call 647-5437 for more information.
