Community Health Needs Assessment Survey Results
A new website and dashboard with data from the 2013 St. Joseph County Community Health Needs Assessment Survey will be made available on Thursday, May 16 from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Pfeil Innovation Center, 420 N. Niles Avenue.
Local non-profit organizations and others who share a mission to create health in all its forms are welcome to attend and learn how to use this comprehensive data in their own organizations. Data can be configured in the most useable way possible for each organization as they continue their important works to improve health in our community.
A brief presentation will be followed by one-on-one, hands-on learning by leaders who are specially trained in making this data work for companies and individuals looking to make a difference.
In early 2012, 625 St. Joseph County residents were randomly selected to participate in a health assessment survey. The survey's results will allow us to identify emerging health problems, establish and track health objectives, develop and evaluate public health policies and programs and compare our data with national and state benchmarks. Once the data is gathered and analyzed, the next step will be to develop a community-wide-strategic plan to address health issues.
