HealthWorks! to Partner with Whole Foods Market on Kids Program
HealthWorks! Kids’ Museum will partner with Whole Foods Market’s “Whole Kids Club” for a special event aimed at promoting healthy eating and fitness for children. It will take place May 19 from noon to 4 p.m. at the new Whole Foods Market in Mishawaka.
The festivities will include games from Memorial Children’s Hospital’s - Kohl’s Fit Feastival, a one-of-a-kind health education program designed to teach kids of all ages about nutrition, fitness and making good choices. Kohl’s Fit Feastival is full of fun-filled opportunities to participate in several healthy ‘carnival style’ games. Kids have a blast while learning everything from the importance of staying hydrated to eating fruits and vegetables. To date, Memorial Children’s Hospital has received more than $600,000 in programmatic support through the generosity of Kohl’s Cares.
The mission of “Whole Kids Club” is to support children and inspire families to improve children's nutrition and wellness. Through partnerships with innovative organizations, schools and educators, the club works to provide children with the knowledge to live a healthy lifestyle. Whole Foods Market opened Wednesday, April 10, at 4320 Grape Road in Mishawaka.
