Outpatient Neurological Rehabilitation
Therapists in our outpatient neurological rehabilitation program provide care for persons with disabilities related to neurological disease or injury such as: stroke, spinal cord injury, traumatic brain injury, aneurysms, cancers affection the central nervous system and other neuromuscular conditions such as multiple sclerosis and Guillain-Barre syndrome. The therapists specifically focus on physical, cognitive and communication deficits related to the previously mentioned conditions. The goal of this program is to assist the person served in regaining a greater level of independence, resuming leisure and community activities, school or work.
This program is located in the Leighton Healthplex, at 111 West Jefferson in downtown South Bend. Based on referral from the physician, physical, occupational and/or speech therapy may be provided, with neuropsychological services also available.
